What is Onegai My Melody?

In Maryland, Kuromi and Baku have becoming prisoners in a dungeon, and make their escape by stealing the Melody Key, an item that can make anyone's wish come true with the power of darkness, and the Melody Bow. As they flee off into the human world, Kuromi's childhood friend, My Melody is tasked with stopping Kuromi from collecting 100 black notes, that are created from when a victim enjoys the nightmare cast upon them. In order to stop this, she is equipped with the Melody Takt, used for undoing Kuromi's magic and to collect pink notes. She arrives in the human world and meets her human partner, Uta Yumeno and her friends, and together they help My Melody collect 100 pink notes before Kuromi, in order to create Dream power to combat the Spirit of Dark Power, and prevent the world from falling into a state where no one can dream.

Uta Yumeno

Uta is the human protagonist in the series. She is a high school student who likes tho play violin and she has a crush on Keiichi Hiiragi. Her partner is My Melody.

Miki Sakurazaka

Miki is Uta's best friend since childhood. Her partner is My Sweet Piano. They are good and superior in poetry and Piano helps Miki to get number one poet position. She also has good skills in art.

Mana Fujisaki

Mana is one of Uta's friends. She is tomboyish and doesn't like cute/girly things. She has a frog named Kojiro.

Kakeru Kogure

Kakeru is one of Uta's friends. He teases Uta when they're young and has a crush on her. His partner is Flat.

Keiichi Hiiragi

Keiichi is a senior high school student. He is a famous violinist and teen heartthrob. He teammed up with Kuromi and Baku to help them to collect black notes.

My Melody
